The Fool in Your Reading
Here we see The Fool tarot card. He stands at the top of a mountain. Even though he appears to be in a precarious situation, he seems oblivious. He seems blind to the circumstances around him because he is too excited. Eager to depart and embark on a new journey, he can’t wait to see what this adventure will bring him. He feels no fear, and in fact, he sees his future very clearly.
You always have a choice
If you find yourself at the beginning of a new phase in your life, take a moment to assess where you currently stand. Presumably, you’ve just completed a journey, a process from which you’ve extracted valuable lessons. Know that you can rely on that knowledge, even if you find yourself easily triggered by situations reminiscent of what you’re eager to leave behind.
After all, you didn’t end up here by chance! You are here because you want to be. Even as you eagerly anticipate a fresh start, accept what it is—a new journey that begins with acknowledging what you’ve (just) left behind. You carry your past, heritage, and experiences in your knapsack. They are reminders of who you were and hold the potential for who you want to be. However weighty your past may have been, you always have the choice to maintain a positive outlook on the future. If you don’t believe in it, who will?
Everything in your knapsack
Take your legacy and experiences in that small knapsack hanging over your shoulder, but don’t let it burden you. Choose to lovingly release what no longer serves you and confidently move forward. Train yourself to have a positive outlook on the future. It’s entirely up to you to shape and experience the future.
No one can improve your future for you; it’s something only you can do. You can ask others for help, but ultimately, it’s up to you to determine the direction you want to take. So, don’t leap too confidently forward just yet. First, decide what your intention will be for this journey. What do you want to learn? What do you like to experience? How do you like to feel at the end of the journey at the World card? The choices are abundant!
Enjoy this phase
Embrace the energy of this character and step into the world rather than observing it from the outside. Experience it firsthand and enjoy! Be present here and now, just like this figure, and let your intuition guide you. Don’t worry about tomorrow or yesterday; the past is gone, and the future is yet to come. All that matters is what you are experiencing here and now.
Be like a child and explore with a sense of wonder. Don’t try to understand everything, but breathe in life as children can do. That little child within you can easily get absorbed by all the rules around you and the expectations we impose on ourselves. Be authentic. Fear is a poor advisor because it makes you forget who you are.
Don’t forget that you can start anew every day; The Fool can be present in every moment of your life. Even if your life seems dull, you can still look through The Fool’s eyes.
Forget all the rules before you can be true to yourself. Have confidence in where you are now and what the future will bring. Let the journey begin!
